Lincoln Heights Village Council voted unanimously May 13 to adopt three pieces of legislation on the meeting agenda.
The first, Resolution 2024‑R‑34, establishes the boundaries of a Community Reinvestment Area and creates a housing officer, a community reinvestment area housing council and a tax incentive review council under sections 3735.65 through 3735.7 of the Ohio Revised Code. Council suspended the rules and approved the measure by roll call, five yeas and zero nays.
The second, Resolution 2024‑R‑35, authorizes the interim village manager or a designee to enter into an electric aggregation agreement with Constellation New Energy. Council members approved suspension of the rules and voted to receive for passage; the roll-call vote was recorded as five yeas and zero nays. The interim village manager had told council the agreement should yield “savings of up to 16 and a half percent” for residents.
The third, Resolution 2024‑R‑36, repeals 2023‑R‑45, the prior final resolution that removed the village manager from office. Council suspended rules, received the resolution for passage and approved it by roll call (five yeas, zero nays). No emergency clause was attached to R‑36.
Each resolution was read by title and carried with the full roll-call counts recorded in the meeting. Council did not record individual dissenting votes for any of the items; the clerk’s roll-call responses show unanimous support on the three measures. The measures move forward with the clerk’s office responsible for any subsequent ministerial steps, filings and notifications.
