At Monday’s meeting Gahanna City Council postponed action on two ordinances and heard the first reading of an annexation ordinance.
Clerk read Ordinance 2-2026, which would accept recommendations from the city’s Tax Incentive Review Council for tax year 2024. The City Attorney advised postponing Council action on that ordinance until March 2; Council agreed and the motion to postpone carried by roll call.
Council also postponed Ordinance 6-2026, an amendment to the City of Gahanna codified purchasing procedures. Members moved to postpone the item to March with the understanding it will return to committee the following week; the motion carried.
Clerk read into the record Ordinance 0007-2026, an ordinance to accept the annexation of approximately 7.6 acres from Jefferson Township, Franklin County, for properties located at 4736 and 4722 Johnstown Road (parcel ID numbers 170-000068 and 170-000069). That item was introduced on first reading.
