Public Facilities Committee to consider roughly $1.9 million in construction contracts

The Beaufort County Public Facilities Committee is scheduled to meet at 4:00 p.m. in the county council chambers to consider several construction and infrastructure items.

The broadcast lists three contract items on the agenda: a $1,400,000 project to Gulfstream Construction for drainage improvements at River’s Edge; a $154,000 contract to Jarrell Brothers Construction for work at Ford’s Shell Ring Park on Hilton Head; and a $337,000 contract to WM Rohabuck for installation of traffic-signal mast-arm poles at the intersection of Bluffton Parkway and River Ridge Drive. The meeting announcement also referenced an ordinance amendment related to waterways, docks, landing rules, student riders, public ridership and penalties.

The county indicated the meeting will be televised on BCTV and simulcast on the county YouTube channel. The broadcast did not include votes or outcomes; it presented the items as agenda items for committee consideration.
