The Natchitoches Historic District Commission ratified several previously approved applications and emergency repairs during its regular meeting, approving the February minutes and moving through multiple ratifications by voice vote.
Items ratified included signage for Dr. Rachel Dean’s dermatology clinic; a TTT Properties (Taylor Townsend) item; a roof replacement at 401 Jefferson for owner Steve Moore using a matching shingle design; an emergency roof replacement at 403 Jefferson (Kristen Simpson); a fence and sidewalk for Bank of Montgomery at 841 2nd Street; and a rooftop generator installation for Acadian Legal Services (which staff members inspected and approved). Commissioners also ratified installation of seating and green-space furniture in front of the Natchitoches Parish Library.
Each ratification was moved and seconded from the commission and carried on voice votes. No additional conditions or oppositions were recorded in the hearing transcript.
The approvals were presented as routine confirmations of previously reviewed work; applicants were mostly not present for each ratification. The commission closed the cluster of old-business votes and proceeded to new business.
