The Town of Lakeville Technology Advisory Committee reviewed several ongoing projects: meeting-minutes software, an internal SharePoint/Teams rollout and a town website prototype.
Moderator said the group narrowed options for meeting-minutes software to Otter, Fireflies and meeting.i and passed that information to Andrew to schedule product demonstrations. “We narrowed the applications down to Otter, Fireflies, and meeting.i,” the Moderator said; Andrew was asked to arrange demos and share invites.
On internal collaboration tools, Moderator and staff said Bob and his team are preparing a SharePoint and Teams deployment for town employees. A Teams demo will be scheduled next week and will be open to committee members who want to attend.
On the website redesign, the Moderator said a prototype link was circulated and praised the improved functionality and look. Committee members discussed web forms compatibility and agreed not to go live until forms work correctly; training for department staff will be provided prior to launch. The transcript records that about 120 photos have already been submitted for the site and that the target for finalizing the site is around April.
The committee recorded these items as ongoing work and asked staff to continue scheduling demos, circulate the website prototype for feedback, and resolve web-forms compatibility before the public launch.
