Planning Commission backs rezoning at 491 North 400 West to allow residential financing

The Cedar City Planning Commission on Jan. 6 recommended rezoning a parcel at 491 North 400 West from General Commercial to R3M to allow an existing house to qualify for residential financing. Dallas Buckner of Go Civil told the commission the request responds to a lending limitation on properties currently zoned commercial, saying, "we're requesting a zone change to R3." Staff reported no issues with the request.

The commission opened the public hearing, received no public testimony and closed it. An unidentified commissioner moved a positive recommendation and the motion was seconded.
