The Bayonne Planning Board recorded a series of motions and votes on communications, referrals and resolutions.
Communications and extensions: The board approved a time‑extension request for the Gamal Group corporate site (motion read into the record; ayes recorded). Later in the meeting staff corrected the approved extension date to 07/01/2026 and the board voted to amend the earlier approval to that date.
Municipal referrals and area‑in‑need: The board accepted municipal council referrals directing the board to prepare redevelopment plans for multiple sites (including the former Bella Cirella site and Hudson Plaza Motel) and approved an area‑in‑need study for the Baron Roofing site in the Bergen Point neighborhood; the latter was presented by the planner and found to meet criterion D owing to high impervious coverage, obsolete layout and stormwater impacts.
