The Town of Lakeville Fire Station Building Committee approved multiple routine items Wednesday, including three payment applications, and set a date for the project groundbreaking.
During the meeting Chair (Speaker 1) presented payment applications for contractor work. The committee approved the following by roll call: Armory Associates invoice #23.111.0‑22 dated 02/10/2026 in the amount of $36,006.91 (Speaker 2 moved; motion carried), an invoice dated 02/05/2026 in the amount of $13,005.66 (moved and seconded; carried), and Page Building Construction Company invoice #33 in the amount of $246,003.18 (moved and seconded; carried). The committee recorded aye votes for members on the roll calls.
Project manager (Speaker 7) reported two potential electrical change orders that are under review; one delayed bid submissions to allow further engineering review and the other stems from mechanical submittal changes and appeared minor. The committee directed staff to include change order logs on future monthly agendas.
The committee set the groundbreaking ceremony for Friday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m., with a rain/snow date of Friday, March 6 at 9 a.m., and discussed invitations (local legislators, selectboard, parks, and community distribution). A motion to hold the Feb. 27 ceremony carried on a roll call.
The meeting adjourned at 7:23 p.m. The committee’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m.
