Medina officials and community organizers on the city square formally welcomed Maureen Davieri s new business at a ribbon-cutting ceremony, with Mayor Jen Shields presenting a proclamation and representatives from Main Street Medina and county and congressional offices offering congratulations.
"I wanted to promise you you're you're in good hands with the city of Medina," Mayor Jen Shields said during remarks that also introduced city staff and two council members, Ward 1 s Chet Simmons and Ward 2 s Denny Simpson. Mayor Shields asked that a proclamation be presented on behalf of the city and police.
George Sam of Main Street Medina welcomed Davieri to the historic district and praised the renovation. A county commission representative congratulated Davieri and highlighted the local economic development benefit of new businesses on the square. A staff member from Congressman Max Miller s office presented a proclamation and conveyed the congressman s congratulations.
Davieri thanked attendees and called the opening "a lifelong dream," credited her husband Greg with renovating the space and said she looks forward to participating in Main Street events and community activities on the square. Event organizers noted this was the city s first ribbon cutting of 2026 and mentioned related Main Street and Chamber of Commerce support for new businesses.
The ceremony concluded with the ceremonial snip of the ribbon and brief closing remarks; organizers said they look forward to future events on the square.
