Tipp City Council voted to authorize the city manager to file a NatureWorks grant application with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for a Windmere Park walking path.
Mr. Green told council the walking path is in the city's Capital Improvement Program for 2025 at an estimated cost of about $100,000. He said a 75% grant, if awarded, would reduce the city's share to roughly $25,000; staff continue finalizing engineering and cost estimates. The council opened a public hearing for the resolution but no members of the public spoke before the roll call vote adopted Resolution 23 24.
A council member said they had discussed the project with neighbors in the Windermere area and reported community support for the walking path. With the resolution adopted, next steps include finalizing cost estimates and submitting the grant application to ODNR; grant award decisions would determine final city obligations.
The transcript does not record actual grant award, only council authorization to apply.
