Trustees approve minutes, log buyback and set March meeting; mapping and records follow-up planned

The Brentwood Cemetery Trustees handled routine administrative business on Feb. 12, approving the January 2026 minutes (with a corrected header date), noting a recorded buyback deed and the planned spring relocation of a monument, and setting a mapping and records workshop for March 5 at 4 p.m.

Trustee Jillian moved to accept the January minutes and Skip seconded; the board voted in favor and the chair said she would update the minutes on the town website. Speaker 2 reported the buyback deed is recorded at the registry and that the family has the check; the monument move will occur in spring after the family returns.

Trustees also discussed preserving cemetery records and backups: a new thumb drive labeled 'Bluebooks 2026' will be used to store a copy and Speaker 1 will secure the files on a town hard drive. The board set a March 5, 2026, 4:00 p.m. meeting to review all known cemeteries and verify GIS entries. The meeting closed on a motion to adjourn, which passed unanimously.
