CUSD 200 introduces four new administrators, personnel report included in consent agenda

CUSD 200's superintendent introduced four new administrative hires during the superintendent's report and recommended their approval under the personnel consent agenda.

Dr. Schuler presented the candidates: Courtney Farrell to replace retiring principal Tarina at Weisberg; Ashley Atchison to replace Joe Kish as assistant principal at Franklin; Dave Eaton to replace long-serving assistant principal/athletic director Matt Fisher at Wheaton North; and Evan James to serve as the district's newly redesigned director of career pathways beginning in July. Dr. Schuler noted that most of the appointments are internal promotions and framed the selections as supporting continuity and the district's desired culture.

Board action: the personnel report was included in the consent agenda that the board moved, seconded and approved by roll call. Administration said some appointees are replacing retirees and that the personnel slate will be effective as listed in the personnel report.
