The City of Kingsburg Planning Commission convened Feb. 12 and approved the meeting agenda and the Jan. 8, 2026 minutes by voice vote before reorganizing its leadership for 2026.
During roll call commissioners recorded as present included Commissioner Arceo, Commissioner Dix, Commissioner Brock and Commissioner Gonzales. With no public comment offered in person or online, the commission proceeded to business and a motion to approve the agenda was made, seconded and approved by voice vote; the chair announced, "Ayes have it." Shortly afterward the commission considered the Jan. 8 minutes; one commissioner recused themselves from that earlier meeting, a motion to approve the minutes was made and seconded, and members again approved the minutes by voice vote.
The commission then opened nominations for chair. Commissioner Dix was nominated and, after a motion to close nominations was approved, members voted in favor and Commissioner Dix was congratulated as the new chair. The body followed the same process for vice chair and selected Commissioner Arceo.
No substantive policy votes occurred at the meeting. The commission set its 2026 organization and procedure at the outset and moved on to staff briefings on future agenda items.
