Council approves routine claims, pulls and reviews vehicle maintenance claim for separate consideration

At the Feb. 12 meeting the Stevensville Town Council approved biweekly claims numbered 20172 through 20210 with one item (claim 20174) pulled for separate review at councilor Smith's request.

Council member Smith asked for the item to be pulled because the $658 charge for vehicle maintenance included spark plugs, a boot kit and labor. Town staff explained the breakdown, noting items were distributed across the general, sewer and water funds; staff provided per‑item amounts for parts and labor in response to the council’s questions.

After explanation and follow‑up questions from council members, Council member Smith moved to approve claim 20174 and the motion was placed on the floor.
