The McKeesport Area School District board voted on Feb. 12 to approve several grouped agenda items by roll call but chose to table School Calendar B for the 2026–27 year after a board member said the calendar had not been shown to trustees before the meeting.
Board President called for votes on grouped agenda sections. Motions to approve agenda items 4.2–4.3, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.5, 6.2–6.3, 7.2–7.5 and 11.2–11.3 were moved, seconded and carried by roll call. When a member requested item 5.4 (the proposed School Calendar B) be pulled for separate action, another trustee moved to table it, saying the board had not reviewed the calendar prior to that evening’s session. The motion to table was seconded and carried, with the roll call reflecting multiple ayes and at least one voiced opposition.
The board’s action leaves School Calendar B unresolved; trustees indicated a desire to consider the calendar at a later date after having time to review it. Other consent items proceeded under the board’s standard grouped-vote practice.
The meeting adjourned after remaining business was completed. The board indicated the facility-assessment public report for the high school is scheduled to appear on the March public agenda, and additional follow-up on calendar timing will appear in future materials.
