The Knox County Board of Commissioners approved several routine contracts and permits during its Feb. 12 meeting.
The board approved a $65,714 contract with Albatross Management for the Village of Danville Memorial Park improvement project funded through a Community Development Block Grant; the vice president will sign the agreement. Commissioners also authorized Jeff Pickrell (Knox County Water and Wastewater) as a signing agent for purchase of a 2026 Polaris Ranger 1000 premium cab with plow from Valley ATV of Danville; the vehicle will be titled and registered to the Knox County Commissioners.
The board authorized staff to advertise bids for the Kokosing Gap Trail resurfacing project with a bid opening set for March 5. Commissioners also approved a utility permit submitted by AEC for Majors Road in Howard Township. Each item was moved, seconded and approved in separate motions recorded during the meeting.
No roll-call tallies with individual member names were recorded in the public transcript; the minutes record each motion as "approved" or "motion passes."
