Lift Station 300 force main contract: Assistant Director of Public Works Jorge Perez recommended awarding the construction contract for the Lift Station 300 influent sewer force main to Yuma Valley Contractors Inc., the lowest responsive bidder. The project scope described in the staff report was to replace approximately 2,800 linear feet of sewer main and associated fittings; the council approved the contract in the amount of $1,627,560.17 by motion and voice vote.
Well Site No. 6 design contract: City Engineer Thomas Sanchez presented a professional-services agreement with Kimberly Horn and Associates Inc. to design booster pumps, associated electrical upgrades and construction-phase special inspections for Well Site No. 6. The council approved the $136,460 contract by motion and voice vote; staff said construction is most likely to start in fiscal year 2027.
Intergovernmental agreement for school reunification drills (Resolution No. 2392): Acting City Manager Jenny Torres summarized an IGA with the school district (agenda lists "Gaston Elementary School District") to permit the district to use select city facilities for reunification drills and to ensure liability coverage through the respective risk pools. Council discussed mutual-use arrangements and asked staff to review existing IGAs; council adopted Resolution No. 2392 by motion and voice vote.
