County administrator praises WIC staff for positive client feedback

The county administrator used an administrator update to recognize the staff of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program at the Health, Housing and Human Services department, citing recent client survey evaluations that offered ‘‘positive feedback’’ about service and support.

The administrator said the WIC office helps low-income women, infants and children by providing nutritious foods, breastfeeding support and health resources and that staff have begun receiving survey evaluations from clients. Reading samples from those evaluations, the administrator quoted comments such as, "I appreciate the friendly staff and awesome service," and that clients ‘‘feel comfortable and confident speaking to all county staff’’ and have received nutrition guidance for toddlers.

The remarks did not include program budget figures or policy changes; they were a recognition of staff performance and client experience. No formal board action was taken on WIC program operations during the update.

The county administrator concluded the recognition and moved on to other updates.
