The presiding officer told the board Feb. 11 that the district will go out for bids to replace or install a domestic hot-water heater at the high school.
"I'm happy to announce that we finally are going to be able to go out for bid for our domestic hot water heater up at the high school," the presiding officer said, adding thanks to the Apollo Group for support.
During new-business remarks, Mister Kaboski said the Plymouth Rotary donated $500 to the Armor Cart program at State Street after a request by retired teacher Ann Butz; he said teachers would attend a Rotary meeting to thank the donors.
Why it matters: the procurement starts a facilities project that will require vendor selection and contracting; the local donation represents community support for school programs. The board did not vote on the procurement at the meeting; it announced intent to solicit bids.
Next steps: the district will issue the public bid notice(s) and return with procurement recommendations; community members will follow up with the Rotary meeting described by board members.
