After closed session, Marshfield council approves resignation agreement, utility contract amendment and promotion

After returning from closed session on Feb. 10, the Marshfield Common Council took several formal actions.

The council accepted the resignation of a member of the Marshfield Police & Fire Commission and approved a resignation, waiver and release agreement between the city, the Marshfield Professional Police and Fire Association, and Matthew Barris. The motion to approve the agreement was moved, seconded, and passed on the record.

Council also approved an amendment to the wholesale power purchase agreement between Marshfield Utilities and the Wisconsin Public Power Association Service Corporation. The amendment was read into the record by Alderman Tompkins, seconded by Alderman Krehan, and the motion passed.

Separately, the council approved the promotion of Josh Moritz to public works director (motion by Alderman Delas; second by Alderman Moratti). The motions passed on recorded votes as shown in the meeting minutes.

The council adjourned after these items.
