Churchill County members approve agenda and minutes, elect officers during brief meeting

Churchill County members met at 11:00 a.m. for a short administrative session in which they approved the day
genda and corrected minutes from Aug. 14, 2025, elected officers and then adjourned.

During the verification of posting, Tara Adams stated for the record that the agenda was posted "on the February 2026 between the hours of 9 and 11AM at all the locations listed on the agenda ... in accordance with statutes." An unidentified member then moved to "approve the agenda as submitted," the motion was seconded and members voiced their approval.

The board then considered approval of the minutes from the Aug. 14, 2025 meeting. Paul Harmon stated he had been absent from that meeting and said Mid City's chief of staff, Bob Erickson, had sat in for him; staff agreed to correct the minutes. An unidentified member moved to "approve the minutes of the meeting held on 08/14/2025 with the changes stated," the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.

Members discussed election of officers. Speakers noted that Alan Culp and Lynn Pierce have served previously as chair and vice chair and that both were absent at this meeting; members moved to elect Alan Culp and Lynn Pierce as chair and vice chair, respectively, the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. An unidentified member moved to adjourn; the motion was seconded and the chair closed the meeting.
