Tumwater committee approves minutes, elects Swartout chair and moves meeting to 11 a.m.

TUMWATER, Wash. — During its Feb. 11 General Government Committee meeting, members took several procedural actions: they approved the minutes from the Jan. 14 meeting, elected Eileen Swartout as committee chair and voted to change the committee’s regular meeting time from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The chair called for a motion to approve the Jan. 14 minutes; members moved, seconded and voice votes of 'aye' were recorded. A nomination of Eileen Swartout for committee chair was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. Committee members then discussed staff availability for different meeting times and approved moving the meeting start time to 11:00 a.m.; the chair confirmed the new time and said the committee will next meet in March at 11:00 a.m.

These items were routine procedural business and were resolved at the start of the Feb. 11 agenda.
