Kingsford Heights council gives park board stewardship of 23‑acre Edgemoor parcel

Kingsford Heights — The Kingsford Heights Town Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2026‑001 on Feb. 9 to place a vacant 23‑acre town‑owned parcel on Edgemoor Road under the jurisdiction of the town park board for development into recreational uses.

The resolution names the parcel (Parcel ID 461519101‑100‑065) and directs that it be used and developed by the park board for town residents, potentially including a walking trail. The resolution states the town will remain the legal owner of the property while the park board assumes jurisdiction for its use and benefit.

Council members reviewed a map of the parcel during the meeting and discussed its location relative to nearby residences and the church.
