Committee approves Delvin Davis appointment to Water and Sewer Appeals Board

The committee approved the appointment of Delvin Davis to serve a three-year term on the Water and Sewer Appeals Board. Councilmembers Wayne Martin, Antonio Lewis and Anisha Collins (as listed) appointed Mr. Davis, who came to the podium and described prior service on the board and his view that impartial members boost public confidence.

Mr. Davis said he had "recently served on the city of Atlanta Water and Sewage Appeals Board" and expressed eagerness to return and "see what we can do" to offer relief to customers and ensure due process. Councilmember Dozier moved to approve the appointment, which was seconded and approved by a recorded vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays. The clerk said the appointment will move to committee and then full council and Mr. Davis need not reappear.
