Green Bay council approves $4.9 million Memorial Park pavilion contract

The Green Bay Common Council approved a $4.9 million contract on Jan. 22 to construct a pavilion at Memorial Park, awarding the Parks-8-25 contract to 8 Pine Inc., the presiding officer said.

The project was introduced to the council as an item from the Redevelopment Authority’s Dec. 9 report; the Department of Public Works requested approval to award the contract and noted the work would be funded using Tax Increment District 5. Alder Prophet moved to approve the award; Alder DeLee seconded. "The ayes have it," the presiding officer declared after members voiced support.

Council members did not request or record further discussion on the item during the meeting. The agenda itself had been approved earlier in the session after Alder Ritterbush moved to adopt it and Alder DeLee seconded. The meeting adjourned after Alder Presley moved to adjourn and Alder Ritterbush seconded.
