The Rockville Mayor and Council on Jan. 12 unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included procurement and reporting items and an elections memorandum of understanding.
Council member Jackson moved to approve consent items A, B and C, a motion seconded by Councilman Shaw and approved by voice vote.
City Manager Mr. Michalek briefed the council on the FY25 annual comprehensive financial report (ACFR) and the popular annual financial report (PAFR), saying the city's financial position is "very strong," with no material weaknesses identified and positive government fund balances. He noted the parking enterprise carries construction-related debt service tied to parking structure construction.
Consent items listed in the packet included a purchase order through a cooperative contract for a Freightliner vehicle (described in the packet as "about 300 ks"), the FY25 ACFR and PAFR, and a memorandum of understanding with the Montgomery County Board of Elections to permit use of Rockville's ballot-drop box at City Hall. The council thanked the finance and procurement teams for their work.
