CenterPoint Energy and its commercial program manager Resource Innovations presented a check to Warrick County School Corp on behalf of energy-efficiency upgrades the district completed in 2025.
"The work totaled $175,844 in incentives that we were able to give you back for that work and upgrades that you did in those buildings," said Jill Barrett, who manages energy-efficiency programs at CenterPoint, as she described recent kitchen-equipment, HVAC and lighting projects. Barrett added that CenterPoint had paid roughly $68,000 so far in 2026 for continued projects.
Sonia Fenwick of Resource Innovations said building-automation system work and other high-efficiency items remain in progress. "That project is completed; it's just awaiting an inspection," Fenwick said of one automation project, and she said the Booneville High School project is still awaiting completion.
District leaders said the incentives help offset the cost of large equipment replacements and improve building comfort. The presentation did not propose or require board action; the board and presenters exchanged thanks before moving on to the business portion of the meeting.
Next steps: district staff and the CenterPoint team said remaining projects will continue through 2026 as inspections and installations are completed.
