Pewaukee board votes to end off‑campus lease, move Insight program back to campus

The Pewaukee School District board voted to provide notice to terminate its lease with Paul Road Properties LLC and relocate the Insight program back on campus. John (district administrator) explained the decision was part of structural budget work and cited recurring costs connected with the offsite location — transportation shuttles for students, utilities and other operational expenses — totaling approximately $70,000 annually in the district's presentation. During the meeting a lease figure was mentioned as reported by staff; that figure was read aloud in the meeting record and should be verified with district financial records before being cited as final.

Board members moved and approved the termination motion; one member recorded an abstention on the vote. Administration said the Insight program will be housed on the high‑school campus (the meeting referenced an on‑campus 'Insight Hub' location) and that moving the program back is consistent with earlier capital and operating planning.
