Cumberland City reports Angel Tree donations covering most needs for 2024

At the Nov. 7 meeting a board member provided an Angel Tree update, reporting that 21 children were enrolled this year and that the program had received $1,850 in donations to date. The speaker said $1,300 of that total had come in earlier and that a recent donation from Tina Ramsey helped close the gap.

The speaker said seven children remained unadopted but that existing funds and incoming contributions would meet needs and leave a modest reserve for the following year. The update referenced pandemic-era reductions in church giving that had reduced the program’s rollover funds, but noted local donors had helped replenish the effort.
