Cave Creek officials said investments in emergency services and road work have improved public safety and event operations heading into 2025 and 2026.
The town and Daisy Mountain Fire District opened a Cave Creek fire station last year that officials said will reduce response times on the west side of town and enhance wildfire and medical response. “That’s going to save lives,” the presenter said when describing the shorter response times the partnership provides.
Public‑works crews completed projects to improve 19 town roads at a cost of nearly $2,000,000, and nearly doubled parking capacity at the Cave Creek Memorial Arena to address heavy traffic during Rodeo Days. Officials also reported the town held two community wildfire‑awareness meetings and two yard‑waste drop‑off events that collected nearly 54 tons of green waste.
During audience Q&A a resident raised a local traffic‑safety concern on Cave Creek Road near Rancho Manana; the presenter and town manager said the town will evaluate traffic warrants, engage residents on mitigation options such as signage or design changes, and have public‑works proposals reviewed before any council decision.
Next steps: public‑works staff will review neighborhood traffic data and present recommended mitigation measures to residents and council if warranted; fire‑service partnerships and automatic aid arrangements will continue to be emphasized for response reliability.
