Christine Barbera, the Jefferson Library director, presented the January 2026 director's report with program attendance and online engagement metrics.
Barbera reported 313 patrons for the month, 0 curbside pickups, eight classes accounting for 171 student visits, story time attendance of 102 (42 adults and 60 children) across four storytime events (one on Saturday), two Dungeons & Dragons events with eight attendees, two volunteers contributing 16 hours, and various book-club attendances. Digital engagement figures included 30,682 Facebook views, 1,117 Facebook page followers, 737 Facebook page visits, Instagram reach of 45, 213 Instagram followers and 267 Instagram views. Overdrive checkouts totaled 923 with 340 holds.
Barbera also noted calendar changes and upcoming closures (Presidents' Day closure on Feb. 16) and described displays and program themes (February will highlight Black History Month and Valentine's Day). Trustees acknowledged the report and used the numbers to plan outreach and the town report draft.
No formal votes were required on the director's report; trustees took the report under advisement for planning and grant-application purposes.
