At its March 19 meeting the Davis School District board moved through a series of routine and capital business items, approving grants, policy updates, fee schedules and a package of construction and procurement contracts by voice votes.
Consent items 1 6 were approved by voice vote. The board also approved the Head Start/Early Head Start monthly report and a continuation grant for the Student Growth and Achievement Head Start program; board members thanked staff and policy council volunteers for compliance and oversight.
On policy and fees, the board approved technology policy 7SS-003 (periodic language updates) on first and final reading and adopted the 2024 2025 school fee schedule on second and final reading. The fee schedule includes a $5 boundary-permit non-waivable charge; board members clarified waiver practices and funding sources for fees like AP tests.
The board then considered capital projects and vendor awards. Staff recommended, and the board approved, the following contracts (motion and second reported at the meeting for each item; all passed by voice vote):
- Clearfield High turf replacement and track resurface: FieldTurf USA, $671,796 (motion moved by Ms. Price; second by Mr. Robinson).
- Davis High turf replacement and track resurface: FieldTurf USA, $681,853 (motion moved/second recorded at meeting).
- Adelaide Elementary boiler replacement: Commercial Mechanical Systems and Service, $395,050 (move and second recorded).
- Burton Elementary water-line replacement: Bridal Plumbing Specialist, $637,050 (motion moved by Ms. Barber; second by Ms. Price).

- Clearfield High football field lighting upgrade: Codell Electric, $183,852.
- Northridge High football field lighting upgrade: Codell Electric, $188,505.
Board members asked clarifying questions about bid scopes (for example, sequence of turf/track/lighting work) and confirmed the district would separate or combine package elements as shown in staff exhibits. The meeting concluded with a unanimous roll-call motion to enter closed session for negotiations and personnel.
