Rules committee reports multiple bills to Appropriations, carries several bills and HJ46 to 2027

The Rules Committee accepted subcommittee recommendations and adopted substitutes before reporting multiple bills to the Committee on Appropriations. A first block (including HB 285, HB 336, HB 814, HB 903 and HB 1433) was reported and referred to Appropriations; the clerk recorded that vote 12-0. An uncontested block of additional bills and substitutes was accepted by voice vote.

The studies subcommittee also recommended carrying a substantial list of bills and joint resolutions to the 2027 session; the committee approved that carryover by voice vote. Among the carryovers the committee specifically moved HJ46 to be carried over under Rule 22 and the committee approved that motion.

What’s next: Referred bills will be considered by the Committee on Appropriations for fiscal review as needed; carried-over bills will return to committee consideration in the 2027 session.
