Georgetown County announces February events: Polar Plunge, council and planning meetings, job fair

Host Jackie Broach concluded the program with a series of community calendar items and public meeting notices. She reiterated Polar Plunge logistics (Feb. 7, Litchfield Inn; registration 10:00 a.m.; plunge 11:30 a.m.; $50 minimum to participate) and listed the following county meetings and events: Georgetown County Council — Feb. 10 and Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in County Council chambers; Planning Commission — Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers; Board of Elections and Voter Registration — Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the office of elections and voter registration; SC Works and Georgetown County job fair — Feb. 12, 3:00–6:00 p.m. at the Howard Center; county offices, landfill and recycling centers closed Feb. 16 for Presidents' Day.
