The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors approved several ceremonial resolutions on Feb. 3.
The board designated February 2026 as a month to recognize 2-1-1, the free information-and-referral service that connects residents to health, social and disaster resources. Patricia Killen, identified in the meeting as the 211 director, described the service’s 24/7 availability across more than 150 languages, recent usage statistics and an outreach celebration scheduled for Feb. 7.
The board also read and adopted a memorial resolution honoring the life and public service of former Supervisor Frank J. Frost Jr.; family members and attendees provided tributes highlighting Frost’s environmental work and civic leadership.
In addition, the board adopted a resolution recognizing John Green for 29 years of service in the County’s General Services Division. Colleagues praised Green’s leadership on capital projects and his role in complex contracts, and Green offered reflections on his career.
Each resolution was adopted on the record during the meeting and received public and board remarks.
