Esoce Fuentes, the key captain of the school’s robotics team, thanked the Palmdale Aerospace Academy District board for past support and invited members to the Aerospace Valley Regional competition on April 3–5, from about 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. "I would also like to invite you guys to our next competition, Aerospace Valley Regional," Fuentes said, noting the team relies on district funding for parts and travel.
Fuentes described the event as a three-day series of qualification and playoff matches, and said the team values community support: "Get to see our robot in action… there's a lot of energy." The student offered small plaques to board members as tokens of appreciation and emphasized that without district funding the team could not operate as it does.
The invitation came during the public-comment portion of the meeting; the board did not take formal action in response but members later praised the students’ achievements during reports. The competition dates and times were provided by the student during her remarks.
