Adams County approves routine claims and records large accounts-payable items

The Adams County Board of Commissioners on the meeting record accepted a series of routine financial items, including weekly and monthly Allied health-insurance claims and an inspector’s monthly weights-and-measures report.

Tony presented the Allied Weekly health insurance claims at $49,267.74 (medical $20,397.35; prescription $28,870.39) and the board moved and seconded to approve the claims. The board also approved an Allied monthly administrative claim of $68,775.85, and recorded acceptance of the monthly weights-and-measures report submitted by inspector Dan Hackland.

County staff noted the accounts-payable run for this period included several large items, including a jail bond payment and a Brooks Construction invoice described on the record as “well over $1,000,000.” The total accounts-payable figure was reported in the meeting as $2,000,006.76. Commissioners moved and seconded to accept the claims as presented.

Payroll-related accounts-payable and benefits were also presented and approved by motion.

The board’s recorded motions for these items carried with no detailed roll-call vote in the transcript. The meeting adjourned after routine business and several items were scheduled for follow up or further documentation at subsequent meetings.
