Oklahoma Senate adopts motion to adjourn until Feb. 9, 2026

A floor motion to adjourn the Oklahoma Senate was made on Feb. 6 and adopted by voice vote. The motion stipulated that when the clerk's desk is clear, the Senate will stand adjourned until Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.

The motion was made from the floor by the member identified in the record as the floor leader; the presiding officer put the question to the chamber and members responded verbally. The presiding officer announced the motion adopted after members indicated assent.

Earlier in the session senators made routine announcements including committee and caucus meeting times: the Republican caucus to convene at noon Monday with a special speaker; the Business and Insurance Committee to meet in Room 535 after floor activities; a Diabetes Caucus meeting at 2 p.m. with a Limbs for Life presentation; a women's caucus social at ReMerge; and a planned meeting of the Senate Energy Committee once a quorum is present. Following the announcements and the motion, the presiding officer closed the day's business.
