Rules Panel Adopts Special Order Letter for Feb. 11 Session, Sets Amendment Deadlines

Tallahassee — After reporting HB 60 favorably, the House Rules and Ethics Committee adopted a special order letter that will govern time allocations for debate and questions for the Feb. 11 session.

The chair placed the special order letter on the desk and asked for questions. With no objections, members adopted the letter by voice vote; the chair announced adoption after members responded 'Yay.'

A committee member identified as 'Leader' praised the chair’s handling of the earlier business. The chair then reminded members that amendment deadlines for the Feb. 11 session are the following day: main amendments must be submitted to House Bill Drafting by 3:00 p.m. and approved for filing by 4:00 p.m.; adhering amendments must be submitted by 6:30 p.m. and approved for filing by 7:00 p.m.

Representative Fabricio moved to adjourn and the committee concluded its meeting.
