The McLean County Finance Committee voted on Feb. 4 to approve a resolution amending full-time-equivalent staffing for the Children's Advocacy Center/CASA program, reclassifying one case manager position to a lead case manager to support program expansion into Ford and Logan counties.
Eileen Pagan Vega, director of the Children's Advocacy Center and CASA program, told the committee the expansion increased workload and grant responsibilities. "We expanded the CASA program this past year into Ford and Logan Counties... and with that, we have increased our staffing," Vega said. She said the proposed reclassification and the addition of 0.9 FTE would allow an existing staff member to take on supervisory duties, grant reporting and management of the additional counties.
Member Rosemary Mendoza moved to put the resolution on the floor; Member Bessler seconded. The committee voted by voice and the motion carried.
What happens next: the reclassification will be implemented per the approved resolution and county HR and payroll staff will update classification and pay records as appropriate.
