Commission approves consent agenda including personnel actions, minutes and permits

The commission approved the consent agenda after the chair read items and staff summarized each entry. Key consent items recorded in the transcript included approval of the minutes from Jan. 26, 2026; fuel quotes for city departments; payment of bills; a parade permit request for a wheel jam truck show on June 7, 2026; and personnel matters.

Staff noted the reinstatement of police officer Stephanie Viatoli from military leave effective Feb. 9, 2026, with a trainer step, in accordance with the city’s stated reemployment policy. The commission also approved the employment of Ryan Bremeister as a police officer effective Feb. 9 with a probationary period tied to the FOP collective bargaining agreement, and acknowledged that Monte Benley completed a 60-day probationary period effective Feb. 1 under the ASKME bargaining unit.

The consent agenda was approved by motion and roll-call vote. There were no public comments recorded during the public forum portion of the meeting.
