Council reappoints board and commission members, fills several local vacancies

The council approved a slate of appointments and reappointments to local boards and commissions.

Mayor and council discussed that David Welling would be reappointed to the Human Service Joint Powers Board for a term ending in 2029 and that Herman Bridal would replace Mr. Robinson on the Evanston Housing Authority after Mr. Robinson reached a term limit. Susan Anderson and Peter Howard were reappointed to the Tree Board for three-year terms, and Austin Oliver was appointed to a three-year term on the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustments.

Councilor Perks made the motion to approve the appointments and the council approved the motion by voice vote; the mayor noted appreciation for the members' service.
