Baltimore opens bids for weatherization/HVAC RFQ; four offers recorded

The Board of Estimates conducted a public bid opening Feb. 4 for RFQ000774 (Weatherization Assistance Program — HVAC services). Procurement staff read four bids into the record and said results from today's opening will be posted on the Baltimore City website by close of business.

Bids read were: GEO Environmental Services LLC for $10,181,951.55; Northeast Energy Services LLC for $10,192,723.64; SM Mechanical LLC for $10,246,411.38; and Devere Insulation/Home Performance for $13,578,056.07. Procurement staff noted duplicates and flash drives accompanying some submissions and confirmed totals while reading the record.

Procurement said this was the only opening scheduled for the day and reminded bidders that formal results will be posted on the city's procurement portal. No award decision was made at the opening; evaluation and award actions will follow procurement rules and the RFQ schedule.
