The Lake Bluff Village Board on Jan. 26 approved a resolution authorizing the village administrator to execute an agreement with EnterDev LLC to replace core network switching infrastructure.
Staff explained several switches had reached or were nearing end of life and that the project includes installation, configuration validation and documentation. Funding for a network refresh was included in the current fiscal year budget at $80,000, but staff said procurement through the OMNIA Partners Cooperative Purchasing Program resulted in a lower quoted cost of $37,967.17.
Trustees asked whether firewalls or intrusion detection systems would be replaced; staff replied those devices remain supported and are not part of this project. The board approved the resolution on a roll‑call vote with all present trustees recorded as voting Aye.
The purchase was described in the meeting record as satisfying the village’s competitive‑purchasing requirements under the cooperative program. The resolution authorizes the Village Administrator to execute the contract; execution and implementation steps were not detailed beyond vendor selection and budget coding.
