Lake Forest’s City Council approved an 11-item omnibus package at its April 1 meeting, authorizing routine administrative actions, contracts and a set of procurement requests.
Items read into the omnibus included approval of March meeting minutes and the check register for Feb. 24–March 22; a resolution reallocating 2024 volume cap to the village of Buffalo Grove; waivers of the bid process and authorization to purchase a replacement core data switch and installation services from Heartland Business Systems for $38,897.43 and Cisco UCS blades for $34,938.90; a three-year NEOGOV human resource software maintenance agreement with governmentjobs.com for $105,804.65; awarding a one-year recreation program busing contract to Safeway; authorization to purchase up to $100,000 in trees for FY2025; authorization for a citywide grounds-maintenance contract with Sundance Lawn Care not to exceed $203,000 for parks FY2025; and consideration of a waiver of permit fees totaling $34,081.64 for the Deerpath Park athletic turf fields project. The final omnibus item was first reading (and possible approval) of an ordinance related to 766 Highview Terrace.
A councilmember moved and another seconded approval of all 11 omnibus items as presented, and the mayor called for a roll call vote.
