Warren Adams (land use staff) told the Montgomery City Council that public meetings on the proposed new zoning code and subdivision regulations have been scheduled for March 11–12 at several locations across the city and that the city will advertise the meetings on its website, social media and with lobby flyers.
Adams said the schedule includes March 11 meetings at 9 a.m. (Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts), 1 p.m. (Council Auditorium) and 6 p.m. (Juliet Hampton Library), and March 12 meetings at 9 a.m. (Juliet Hampton Library), 1 p.m. (First United Methodist Church) and 6 p.m. (Council Auditorium). He urged residents and business representatives to attend and to contact the land-use department with questions.
"We will advertise these meetings on the city website through social media, and there are a number of flyers in the lobby area that contain these dates," Warren Adams said, adding staff would try to post notices as soon as possible.
Next steps: the city will publicize the meetings and solicit comment; the land-use department will accept inquiries and materials from residents and stakeholders ahead of and during the sessions.
