Budget chair says Senate will roll out budgets Feb. 12, full appropriations Feb. 18

Chair Hooper updated the Senate on the budget schedule, telling members the Senate’s budget rollout had been adjusted to keep pace with House timing. "We've updated our schedule to roll our budgets out in the appropriations committees next Thursday, February 12," Hooper said, adding that the Senate would hear the budget in full appropriations on Wednesday, February 18. He thanked six appropriation committee chairs and staff for their work and said he expected the chamber to complete the budget in a timely manner.

Hooper emphasized the importance of coordination with the House, stating the House will host the budget bill this year and that Senate and House staff are working closely together on amendments and timing. He told members to watch for updates on their calendars and Outlook posts about the amendment process.
