Ag meeting committee recommends approval of six renewal land‑use applications

The Ag meeting committee of Pataskala City met to consider six renewal land‑use applications and recommended approval on each, with one committee member recusing from a single vote.

Staff member (S3) read applications and summarized zoning and future land‑use recommendations for each property. For the May application at 13864 East Broad Street, S3 said the property is zoned GB (General Business) with the future land‑use map recommending commercial and medium‑density residential and stated, "Staff has no objections to this application." Similar renewal applications read by S3 included Dorothy and Ralph Stock on Summit Road (about 37 in size, rural residential; recommended conservation suburban), Michael Angelo Moore at 1.456 Cable Road (about 28 acres, agricultural; recommended conservation rural), Mary Ellis Weggi and RJ Weggi Farms Company at 14445 Hayden's Corner Road (about 255 acres, young residential; recommended conservation suburban), Lee M. Smith on Main Street (about 75 acres, agricultural; recommended conservation rural), Chucko Development LLC on Loom Lane (about 53 acres), and Bradley Dean and Aaron Bryant at 288 Mill Street (about 19 acres). In each case S3 reported no staff objections.

Member (S5) made the motions to recommend approval on the items that appear on the agenda; Member (S6) seconded those motions. On the Weggi item, Member (S2) stated, "I will recuse myself from the vote." The committee then recorded assent to the motions and the chair moved to adjourn. No public comments were recorded.

The meeting closed after the committee voted to adjourn. S3 announced, "Next meeting in 5, 4 minutes."
