The Planning Commission agreed Feb. 2 to finalize its 2025 annual report and to link minutes and quarterly reports on the borough website rather than attaching full minutes to the report.
Presenters noted that state guidance requires the annual report by March 1; this year's draft shows only two major development applications were reviewed but documents extensive ordinance and community planning work. Commissioners asked staff to finalize the report for the upcoming voting session and then forward it to borough council.
Separately, the commission clarified application-submission materials. Commissioners agreed to require two paper copies and one electronic PDF for submissions; half‑size plan copies (reduced format) are acceptable to reduce cost for applicants. The commission asked staff to update website instructions to explicitly require PDF submissions so applicants know how to meet filing requirements.
Quotes from the meeting emphasized keeping the annual report concise and linking to the online minutes: "I would propose to put a link right up front," one presenter said about referencing posted minutes on the website. Staff committed to emailing corrected drafts and posting the updated procedures ahead of the next meeting.
