The Oklahoma House of Representatives opened the second regular session on Feb. 2 with routine organization and several unanimous or uncontested actions.
Floor Leader (recorded as Leader West in the transcript) moved that communications from the secretary of state and the election board naming three elected individuals be printed in the House journal. He then moved that the named persons be declared duly elected and seated upon filing their oaths; the clerk conducted a recorded vote and the motion carried 86-0.
The House also adopted the comptroller's mileage allowance report and voted, without objection, to provide each House member up to $2,000 from the comptroller for office supplies, stationery, district mail and office-holder expenses to be expended by the end of the legislative term or county year 2026.
Other procedural business included unanimous consent to notify the Senate that the House was ready for a joint session to receive the governor's message, the appointment of members to a joint committee to notify the governor, and the ordering of the governor's State of the State message to be printed in full in the House journal.
The House moved to clear the clerk's desk and adjourned until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026.
